GEDSI

PCE launched a new series of teacher trainings in public schools across Islamabad, focused on gender-sensitive classroom practices and building inclusive learning environments. Delivered in both in-person and virtual modes and broken into modules, the series is built to fit around teachers' schedules and to reach well beyond a single cohort. This series has been led by Bilqees Fatima (Coordinator, MER & Resource Development, PCE).

What sets the series apart is that it doesn't end in the training room. Teachers take these approaches back to their own classrooms, try them with their students, and return to show how they've modelled and implemented them and what they've learned in the doing. Those classroom reflections feed the next module, so the training grows out of teachers' real practice rather than theory alone, and slowly builds a community of educators learning from one another.
